　　The Health Management Department is one of the key departments developed by Shenzhen Third People's Hospital. It is the health examination base for the people of Shenzhen and a designated unit for the physical examinations of government officials in Guangdong Province. As of February 2026, the department has a total of 35 staff members, including 11 doctors, 12 nurses, 2 technicians, 10 business personnel and medical guides. There are 6 senior professionals, 11 intermediate professionals and 6 junior professionals; 2 hold doctoral degrees and 4 hold master's degrees.

　　2.Clinical Services

• Routine health assessment: Offer individual and group health check-ups and various certificate-related health check services; conduct routine electrocardiogram, ultrasound, and DR radiological examinations to assess the structure and functional status of the basic organs.

• Eye disease screening: Conduct slit lamp examination and intraocular pressure measurement to screen for eye diseases such as glaucoma.

• Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease screening: Conduct heart function and arteriosclerosis tests, as well as transcranial color Doppler ultrasound (TCCD) examinations to assess the patency of cerebral vessels; evaluate arrhythmia and blood pressure control through routine electrocardiogram and dynamic blood pressure monitoring.

• Early cancer screening: Utilize the hospital platform to carry out early cancer screening projects based on computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and gastroscopy; detect a series of tumor markers such as alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) using chemiluminescence method.

• Liver disease screening and diagnosis: Utilize the intelligent testing assembly line to conduct liver disease-related testing projects; determine the viral DNA (HBV-DNA) of hepatitis B virus through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology to monitor viral replication.

• Infectious disease screening: Conduct carbon-13/14 breath tests to detect Helicobacter pylori infection; use pathogen detection techniques to conduct screening for common infectious diseases.

Adhering to the concept of "full life cycle health management", our department has established a closed-loop management system covering personalized plan customization, one-stop physical examination, immediate warning for major positive results, and specialized medical consultation. The discipline has outstanding characteristics in the field of early screening for tumors and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. As a "first batch of national leading units for lung cancer prevention, treatment and rehabilitation health management", it was the first to carry out early lung cancer screening based on low-dose spiral CT. By establishing a multidisciplinary consultation (MDT) team, it completed over 5,000 lung cancer risk screenings per year; and by using PCR and other technologies to deepen pathogen detection, it provided scientific basis for early diagnosis and treatment.

The department has a professional team consisting of report interpretation experts and health managers, providing "one-on-one" personalized health guidance. With professional services and innovative management models, it has received numerous national and municipal honors in recent years. It has repeatedly won awards in the selection of innovative practice cases in health management and has set a benchmark for industry services.

• Teaching Task: Undertake the teaching duties for the health management interns of Gannan Medical University. From 2021 to 2023, a total of 14 interns were received.

• Continuing Education: In 2022, held a continuing education learning session in Shenzhen titled "Health Management under the Pandemic".

• Research Projects: In recent years, has been the principal investigator of 2 provincial-level projects and 3 hospital-level projects. Has participated in multiple national-level projects.

• Publications and Patents: Published 2 SCI papers as the first author (with the highest impact factor being 4.2), and obtained 1 utility model patent.

• Membership in Associations: Members of the department hold positions as committee members or vice chairpersons of several academic organizations such as the Chinese Medical Association, Guangdong Medical Education Association, and Shenzhen Medical Association.
