3.Special Features & Advantages
As the National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases , our hospital specializes in the prevention of mother-to-child vertical transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B (the”Three Diseases”) . We have established a full-chain closed-loop system covering pre-pregnancy screening, prenatal intervention, safe delivery, neonatal immunization, and postpartum follow-up, with a transmission prevention success rate ranking among the top in China . We provide protective delivery and individualized management for pregnant women with special infections, such as pregnancy complicated with tuberculosis, hepatitis, severe liver disease, and emerging infectious diseases, filling regional gaps in specialized medical services.
our hospital admits pregnant women classified as Green, Yellow, Orange, Red (excluding pregnancy complications), Purple, and Red (infectious diseases) categories. We excel in the management of complex cases such as pregnancy complicated with severe liver disease, post-liver transplantation pregnancy, pregnancy complicated with liver cancer, and acute fatty liver of pregnancy. Meanwhile, we have successfully treated critical life-threatening conditions including severe amniotic fluid embolism, severe pre-eclampsia complicated with acute left heart failure, pregnancy complicated with septic shock, severe postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy complicated with severe hepatitis, and pregnancy complicated with tuberculous meningitis, demonstrating our strong comprehensive capabilities. Relying on the hospital’s multidisciplinary (MDT) advantages, we collaborate with departments of Hepatology, Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesiology, Neonatology, Blood Transfusion, and Infectious Diseases. With infection-related obstetric complicated and critical illnesses as our distinctive feature, we provide both standardized general obstetric services and critical care capabilities. We are a specialized and advantageous obstetrics department integrating clinical treatment, public health emergency response, and maternal and child health management.

4.Education & Research
①Education System
Relying on the National Clinical Research Center for Infectious Diseases and the teaching platform of a Grade-A Tertiary Hospital, we have built an integrated training system of “clinical practice – teaching – scientific research”.The department is a Master’s student training base of the School of Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology, as well as a Shenzhen Resident Standardized Training Base.
Talent Team Development
Professor Xia Junxia, Chief Physician and academic leader, holds a Ph.D. in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and serves as a Master’s supervisor and joint supervisor for postdoctoral research. The team consists of many senior-title physicians and key teaching faculty, forming a three-level teaching echelon of “senior physicians – key physicians – young physicians”.
Standardized Training
We strictly implement the standardized residency training, covering core contents such as prenatal care, delivery techniques, and critical care emergency treatment. Adopting the model of “bedside demonstration , case discussion , scenario simulation”, we train more than 20 residents and interns annually, with a trainee assessment pass rate ranking among the top in Shenzhen.
Teaching Achievements
The team has won multiple awards in hospital-level and municipal-level teaching rounds and skill competitions.
