1.Core Information

　　The Interventional Radiology Department, a sub-discipline under the Department of Radiology, consists of the Tumor and Vascular Interventional Clinic, the Interventional Radiology Ward, and the Catheterization Laboratory. In alignment with the hospital’s strategic goals of being a "comprehensive yet specialized" and "internationalized" medical institution, our department upholds a patient-centered philosophy, prioritizing service excellence, clinical precision, and meticulous humanistic care. We place strong emphasis on talent development, departmental culture, and the enhancement of medical quality management. Currently, the department is staffed with 2 chief physicians, 4 associate chief physicians, and 3 attending physicians.

　　2.Clinical Services

• Interventional treatments for primary hepatocellular carcinoma (PHC), such as transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC).

• Interventional treatments for conditions such as cirrhotic portal hypertension (CPH), including transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), transjugular liver biopsy (TJLB), and hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) measurement; angioplasty for Budd-Chiari syndrome and visceral vascular stenosis; and percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage (PTCD) for obstructive jaundice.

• Interventional treatments for peripheral vascular diseases, such as thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), angioplasty for peripheral artery disease (PAD), and filter placement and thrombolytic therapy for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE).

• Non-vascular interventional treatments, such as CT-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA) for liver cancer, and percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy (PTNB) for pulmonary nodules.

　　3.Special Features & Advantages

• Leveraging the strengths of the Hepatology Center, our department performs over 1,500 interventional procedures annually for primary hepatocellular carcinoma (PHC), more than 40 transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) procedures for cirrhotic portal hypertension (CPH), and over 80 CT-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA) procedures for liver cancer each year.
