　　The department is accredited by the National Health Commission as a Heart Failure Center, Atrial Fibrillation Center, Chest Pain Center, and National Training Base for Cardiovascular Residents and Specialists. The department has a team of 47 professionals, including 18 physicians (2 Chief Physicians/Professors, 4 Associate Chief Physicians, 11 Attending Physicians), 26 specialized nurses, and 3 technicians.

　　Coronary Artery Disease & Acute Myocardial Infarction Interventional Therapy

• Routine Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), including complex coronary interventions for left main disease, bifurcation lesions, and Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO)

　　Precision Coronary Intervention & Functional Assessment

　　The department continuously introduces international advanced technologies in coronary interventional therapy. In January 2024, we successfully performed the first-in-hospital Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) examination, marking a significant step forward in intracoronary imaging and functional precision treatment. We routinely apply IVUS, FFR, and coronary rotational atherectomy for calcified lesions to achieve precise assessment and individualized treatment of coronary artery disease, eliminating unnecessary implantation and maximizing patient benefits. The department performs over 1,000 interventional procedures annually, ranking among the top in the region in terms of clinical service volume.

　　Provincial Leadership in Complex Arrhythmia Interventional Therapy

　　The department maintains a leading position in the province for complex arrhythmia management, routinely performing left atrial appendage occlusion, atrial fibrillation radiofrequency ablation, and other advanced treatments. We innovatively developed the "one-stop" procedure combining cryoablation with left atrial appendage occlusion (disc-type occluder), providing dual protection of stroke prevention and rhythm control for atrial fibrillation patients. Equipped with various pacemaker testing devices, we have established a comprehensive cardiac pacing follow-up clinic to ensure full lifecycle management for patients with implanted devices.

　　Critical Care & Multidisciplinary Collaboration

　　The ward has 64 beds (including a standard Coronary Care Unit). The annual outpatient volume exceeds 50,000 visits, with over 2,000 inpatient admissions per year. Leveraging the hospital's strengths in infectious diseases, we have developed distinctive expertise in managing cardiovascular patients with concurrent infectious diseases. We have established a green channel for acute myocardial infarction, providing rapid and standardized diagnostic and therapeutic services for acute chest pain patients, significantly shortening the treatment time window.

　　The department is accredited as a National Standardized Training Base for Residents (Internal Medicine/General Practice) and National Training Base for Cardiovascular Interventional Therapy (coronary intervention and arrhythmia intervention). We undertake the training of Master's degree students in Cardiovascular Medicine at Southern University of Science and Technology, as well as teaching tasks for residents and undergraduates. Our experts serve as training mentors for coronary intervention certified by the National Health Commission and the Physicians Association, and as mentors for the cardiovascular specialist physician training base.
