After nearly a decade of continuous development, it has grown into a first-class orthopedic team in Shenzhen. The department performs major modern orthopedic surgeries for various complex degenerative cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal diseases, spinal tuberculosis, spinal tumors, spinal trauma, as well as extremity and pelvic trauma. Implementing standardized and normalized management, the department serves as the standardized training base for orthopedic physicians in Shenzhen.
Professional talents constitute the cornerstone of departmental development. The department has a total of 25 medical staff, including 10 physicians and 15 nurses.
Among physicians: 2 professors/chief physicians, 2 associate professors/associate chief physicians, 4 attending physicians and 2 resident physicians; 2 doctoral degree holders and 8 master’s degree holders.
Among nurses: 1 associate chief nurse, 4 senior nurses and 5 registered nurses.
Eighty percent of medical professionals have received further training and advanced studies at prestigious orthopedic centers at home and abroad. All physicians hold a master’s degree or above.
The department has been awarded more than 10 second-class and higher scientific research prizes at military, provincial and ministerial levels. It has published over 50 papers in domestic and international core journals, and compiled 8 academic monographs. Centering on clinical medical services, the department continuously introduces and updates advanced international and domestic technologies, methods and concepts, and owns independent clinical patents. It maintains close academic exchanges and cooperative relations with numerous spinal surgery centers worldwide.
